Homework
In Year 2, the children are working towards becoming confident, fluent readers, who show a good understanding of the texts they read. Books will be changed on a Monday and 2 books will be sent home. We would like to encourage all parents to be reading daily with their child to ensure the progress they have made continues and that your child becomes fluent with the book they have. Once you have read with your child please sign and date to show this. We would ideally like this to be a daily occurrence but a minimum of 3 signatures per week is required.
Your child has access to Spelling Shed which should be accessed every day for 5-10 minutes throughout the week. A new set of spellings are added every Friday for your child to learn. Children will gain a dojo for each daily visit. Mathletics will have assignments set every two weeks. These assignments will be repeated every two weeks with new tasks added. Children will receive a super dojo for completing these tasks. Rising stars is available for use at home should you wish to access any other books during the week.
Every two weeks a new homework task is set via Seesaw. This task supports your child's learning in school, therefore it is very important that this task is completed within the time set.
